"Rasa Salah yang Menyenangkan" (guilty pleasure)

This is one of my ultimate guilty pleasures - aside of watching romantic comedies and reading chick flicks, of course :D (Ice cream? Chocolate? Candies? Hey - they're nutritions!)

------------------------------

So, apparently slesta has tagged whoever's reading her baton. And since I happened to read her blog, ok... I pass it on.

>>25 FACTS ABOUT ME<<

>1.
The first thing my mom said to me after I was born was:

"Aduh Dek, kamu kok jelek banget sih?"
*gubrak*

>2.

I have Chinese ancestries from my father's side. My great grandmother was an Indo-Chinese who married a Javanese man. We called her A'i (which strangely means "auntie" in chinese), and she passed away when I was 8 y.0.

>3.

I grew up dreaming to be an author. And my idol was N.H. Dini. Hehehe.

of course I didnt use laptop back in the day, but u got the idea.
>4.

To date, my Mom, some of my closest om's & tante's and old bestfriends, still call me by my childhood nickname "Echa".

>5.

As a child I cried watching Oliver & Company (when they play the song "Good Company") and The Lion King (the scene where Mufasa died). I watched Lion King in the cinema 3 times in total, all crying.

I always knew I wanted a cat, like Jenny Foxsworth

>6.

I had an imaginary friend; A squirrel-wizard, whom I nicknamed "Bajing" (ugh, ga kreatif emang...), and to visit me he travelled with a flying umbrella like that of Mary Poppin's.

>7.

As a child, I acted "attempting suicide" several times if my parents refused to grant what I want. How? Either by A. Stabbing fork on to my neck, B. jumping down from wardrobe closet, or C. brutally seizing my neck using my own hands :P

And of course, mission failed. I eventually had to come out with different scenario: crying hysterically :D

"AAAAGH! I SWEAR! I SWEAR I'M DYING NOW... YOU'LL REGRET!"

>8.

In junior high I took Electronics study for extra curricular program (muatan lokal) for the whole 3 yrs since I avoided being "too girlish".

>9.

I always thought I'd be the last one to get married among my junior high "gank" girls, and turned out I am the 3rd out of the 6 of us.

>10.

During primary school I visited Malang regularly since my grandparents live there, and I always said "I'd love to go to a highschool in Malang." Later on, this dream came true :)

>11.

I started speaking Javanese and adopted thick East Javanese dialect in senior high school.

>12

My fave subject of all time was English, and the least fave: Accounting!

>13.

To date - from time to time - I've had 8 cats, 2 caterpillars, 2 snails, 2 roosters, a hen, and around 10 millipedes as pets.

>14.

I moved out of my parents' shelters when I was 18, to study in a land 7000 miles away, and it is one of the best decisions I had ever made.

>15.

My craziest birthday-present request ever would be: a hedgehog. My parents instantly refused, of course.

OMG hedgehog. What was I thinking? -_-

>16.

My first year in NL was the toughest year in my life - yet the most memorable one :)

>17.

Decision I regretted the most was to go on with my second internship in APCO Indonesia - how I wish I had chosen a different company. But now, I try to look at the brighter side of things.

>18.

Like slesta, I think I am a self-learner too. Most of my skills I learned mostly by myself, including cooking, computer, using internet, typing, designing, drawing...

>19.

I was a late bloomer. I finally gained "normal" weight, feminine hip, defined waist and breasts when I was 20. Before? Total twiggy. That's the reason I never feel obsessed with body form, weight... whatever.

>20.

Up until now I have lived in 7 different cities throughout my life: Surabaya (14 yrs), Sidoarjo (1 yr), Malang (3 yrs), Diemen (1,5 yrs), Jakarta (1 yr), Amsterdam (2,5 yrs) and now Amstelveen (1,5 yrs).

>21.

I once involved in a hit-and-run accident. I was 17, just got my license, and driving home around 6 pm-ish when I hit a motorcyclist. I glanced and saw he was okay, so I hit the 4th gear and blasted. I feel so terrible everytime I recalled that.

>22.
look closer - this is actually an embroidery. cute huh

Cities in my travel wishlist are: the holy city of Mecca, the Big Apple , London and Hong Kong.

>23.

I got married a lot earlier than I expected, to someone totally unexpected :) I have always believed that our life is indeed full of God's surprises... and after that happened I am believing it even more.

>24.

As I said in the beginning, I have three guilty pleasures: romantic comedies, chick flicks and blog batons.

>25.

Last but not least, I am a Muslim. Well, it's obvious :)
